Cinch Munson
Director of Agriculture Business Development, Propane Education & Research Council
Cinch Munson leads the Propane Education & Research Council’s efforts to develop and promote new products in the agriculture market. As director of agriculture business development, Munson cultivates relationships with original equipment manufacturing partners and brands to commercialize new propane-powered products. Munson joined PERC in 2014 to lead PERC’s technology development efforts in the agricultural sector, taking over a successful commercialization effort that has realized a number of new products. Examples include propane-powered irrigation engines, fuel-efficient grain dryers, generators, and thermal pest-control products. Before joining PERC, Munson led product development at a variety of agricultural companies. As director of market operations at Mercaris, he helped launch an industry online trading platform for the sustainable agriculture market. Munson also worked as manager of product quality and innovation for Oxbow Animal Health and as a project manager at AgInfoLink, where he was instrumental in helping global agribusinesses expand into new markets through technology. Munson was also the associate vice president of Mid-Plains Community College, where he helped develop an award-winning corporate degree program with Union Pacific Railroad. Munson grew up in an agricultural family on a ranch in the Nebraska Sandhills. He received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a master’s degree from Colorado State University. He lives in North Platte, Nebraska, with his wife and three sons.
