Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer – North American Satellite Corporation
Include 40+ years in the propane industry, serving 13 years on the Missouri Propane Gas Association’s (MPGA) Board of Directors, becoming its Chairman (1993-94). In that capacity, Humphrey was the first marketer to pursue industry check-off legislation, authoring the Missouri Propane Education and Research Council (MO-PERC) Act and oversaw its passage by Congress during his term as MPGA Chairman. From MO-PERC other PERCs were derived. As MO-PERC’s first Chairman, Humphrey was responsible for enacting odorized collections, allocating distributions and authored and established MO-PERC’s Policies & Procedures. Humphrey has been a member to NPGA since 1986 and, today, serves as Chairman of NPGA’s Service Section Committee, representing companies that provide accounting, routing and consulting services, insurances, monitoring and any other service propane dealers utilize every day. Humphrey is also active on NPGA’s Conventions Committee. He was Missouri State Director to NPGA’s Market Development Committee and co-chaired NPGA’s Consumer Focus Study Group, a derivative of NPGA’s first Pinnacle Conferences. He was a past Director-at-Large to the Illinois Propane Gas Association (IPGA) and has been a presenter at state association conferences, the Mid-West Expo, for the Canadian Propane Association and sponsored dealer training seminars at NPGA’s Southeast Expo and NPGA Regional Conventions. As Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of InSite Platform Partners, Inc. d/b/a North American Satellite (NASCorp), Humphrey conceived and engineered SkyTracker™ direct-to-low-earth-orbital-satellite remote tank and SmartHome™ monitoring systems, a product with 282 patent claims granted (other patents pending) in the US, Canada, Australia, Israel, Japan, China and all countries of Western Europe.
